Red Fox Resources Leadership Team

Since 2013, Red Fox Resources has been managed daily by an experienced team of emission control veterans who have spent most of their careers in the technical development, commercialization, and distribution of diesel emission control systems.

Brad Edgar, Ph.D. — President

Brad Edgar is a co-founder of Red Fox Resources and serves as the President, overseeing all aspects of the business.

Brad has a proven track record as an inventor, technology developer, and entrepreneur. Before starting Red Fox Resources, Brad cofounded three companies, most recently Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls, a heavy-duty diesel emission control system developer.

Brad has focused his career on engines, combustion, and emissions. He is the author of numerous papers and presentations and is the inventor or co-inventor listed on 11 United States Patents, primarily related to combustion and emission control technology.

In 2011, Brad received the prestigious Haagen-Smit Clean Air Award in the category of Science and Technology from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

Brad received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1997, and he currently serves on the UC Berkeley Mechanical Engineering Department Advisory Board. While at UC Berkeley, Brad was a member of the football team and, in 1989, won the J. Scott Duncan Award for most valuable special teams player.

Tripp Heller — VP Business Development & Marketing

Tripp manages the daily Red Fox Resources business and leads all business development, marketing, logistics, and collection efforts for Red Fox.

Tripp has spent his career in the industrial product sales and distribution space, working for Cummins Pacific, Cummins West, and Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls. In his time with these companies, Tripp has held leadership roles in air quality compliance consulting, strategic marketing, sales management, and process improvement. Tripp is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Tripp holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Public Policy and a minor in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Mike Apple — VP of Finance & Operations

Based in Chicago, IL, Mike manages the financial and operational aspects of the business.

Mike has worked in heavy-duty engine and industrial product sales and distribution. Mike’s experience includes executive leadership capacities for Cummins, Cummins NPower, and Motor Coach Industries, among other companies. In his career, Mike has held leadership roles in distribution, operations, sales management, and quality.

Mike holds a B.S. in Management from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the University of Louisville. Mike is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Robert Hooper – Senior Buyer, On-Highway Parts

Robert oversees the acquisition and management of Red Fox Resources customer accounts in the United States’ southwestern region, including California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

Robert has a strong industry background working with companies such as Velocity Vehicle Group and NFI Industries in the inventory management, administration, account management, transportation, and logistics fields. Robert has also been formally trained as a Continuous Improvement Champion.
