We’re pleased to announce that on February 23, 2023, Hensel Recycling Group acquired Red Fox Resources. This acquisition expands Hensel’s presence in North America and improves its ability to serve the heavy-duty vehicle and industrial markets.
This strategic acquisition will immediately benefit Red Fox Resources and its customers across North America. It will tap into Hensel’s expertise in precious metals management and processing, technical skills, and vast industry connections.
Hensel intends to support Red Fox Resources in continuing what we do best: procuring and processing precious metals from the heavy-duty vehicle and industrial markets. Under Hensel’s ownership, it will be business as usual at Red Fox Resources, ensuring continuity for all customers, suppliers, and partners. Additionally, the customer-facing Red Fox management team will remain unchanged.
Red Fox will retain its headquarters in Oakland, California, and will soon open a new location in West Berlin, NJ. Having locations on both coasts will increase recycling capacity while offering customers faster service and lower shipping costs.
“From a cultural and commercial perspective, we cannot think of a better partner than Hensel. We look forward to expanding our capabilities and customer reach with an East Coast location while taking advantage of Hensel’s highly regarded commercial and technical experience in the precious metals recycling industry,” said Brad Edgar, CEO of Red Fox Resources.
“The partnership with Red Fox Resources will expand our North American footprint to include a geographical presence in California and the West Coast. Red Fox’s focus on the heavy-duty vehicle and industrial markets will provide new streams of material for us to process. Red Fox has been a reliable and valued supplier over the years, and we look forward to integrating them into our business,” said Andreas Friesen, CEO of Hensel Recycling North America, Inc.
“We welcome the Red Fox team to the Hensel Recycling Group family. Both companies share the same core values and passion for recycling, and we look forward to a successful future,” said Thomas Hensel, Chairman of Hensel Recycling Group.
