Oakland, CA, February 2, 2018 – Red Fox Resources is pleased to announce that Mack Trucks has partnered with Red Fox to provide Mack truck dealers with a program to recycle used DPF and DOC parts. This program allows Mack dealers to recycle scrap emission cores, such as diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs). Using a fully compliant process, Red Fox Resources purchases scrap/used emission control systems from the dealer and reclaims the precious metal catalyst material for reuse.
“Red Fox is pleased to partner with Mack Trucks and their extensive dealer network to recycle DPFs and DOCs. Recycling parts that would otherwise be scrapped or thrown away provide a simple pathway to both revenue and sustainable business practices.”– Brad Edgar, CEO Red Fox Resources
With over 360 dealer locations in North America, the volume of recycled catalyst cores from the Mack dealer body represents a significant amount of catalyst material to be reclaimed and returned to the production stream. The parts are dismantled into their core components and recycled sustainably, maximizing value and ensuring little or no material is sent to a landfill.
The new program was communicated to the Mack Truck dealer network on January 24th, 2018. Within the first week, the level of interest and number of inquiries has been very positive, especially from Canadian dealers.
“The partnership with Red Fox makes great sense for our dealers as it offers a simple process to recycle used catalyst parts in an environmentally sustainable manner while also generating additional revenues.” – Brandon Page, Powertrain & Overhaul Product Manager, Mack Trucks Inc.
